WHAT TO BRING FOR OVERNIGHT AND SHORT RIDES
What to bring for longer Rides
Please pack everything in a secure and preferably waterproof bag as small as possible thankyou
Clothing
The main idea is to dress in layers;
- Waterproof Coat (oilskin)
- Pants suitable to ride in (moleskins, jodphurs, thick jeans if used to riding in them – or wear stockings under them) NO SHORTS ALLOWED
- Heavy Sweater and/or Vest/ Warm Coat
- Light Riding Gloves
- Warm Gloves
- Extra Set of clothing to change into (Jeans Shirts Socks Underwear etc.)
- Bathers (if you’re up for a swim)
- A hat or cap to wear when not riding
Footwear
- Enclosed boots suitable to ride in preferably with a heel (Riding Boots, Work boots with heels are fine as they double as hiking boots – make sure they are waterproof)
- Light Shoes, Sneakers, Hiking boots or waterproof Boots (for camp)
For Sleeping
- Sleeping Bag and Pillow
- Swag (if bringing own please roll up tight as possible) (you can Hire swag if needed)
- Warm clothes for sleeping (Thermals ect.)
Accessories
- Personal Medications
- Camera with Extra Batteries (you will be taking LOTS of pictures – bring your camera charger too we have charging facilities)
- Sunscreen and Insect Repellent
- Personal Toiletries
- Bath Towel
- Torch & Extra Batteries
Drinks
- Soft Drink & or Alcohol (preferably in cans/plastic bottles. Avoid Glass, Wine Bottles are fine)
We provide you with
- Helmets
- We can supply Riding boots if needed. (please advise beforehand to make sure we have a size to suit you)
- Saddle Bags for anything you want to take on the horse with you (eg. camera, sunscreen)
- Riding Chaps (optional)
- For hire – Oilskins (wet weather coat)
- For hire – Made up swag
- Ice filled eskys for your Drinks
- Everything else needed for your trip (hot showers, tents, chairs, yummy food and friendly helpful staff)
What to bring on smaller Rides – 2 Hour/Half Day/Day ride
